Three summers ago I stayed in a hotel not far from the White House. It was a common chain hotel located in an historic area of the city. I awoke in the morning at about 5 am to use the bathroom and when I turned to exit the bathroom there was a woman in my room just outside the bathroom door in the room. She was floating about 2 feet off of the floor and I could see through her. She was wearing a long nightgown. It was white with a white lace trim across the front. She kind of glided toward me and passed through me. I turned to see her fade away as she entered the bathroom. I returned to the bed for a few minutes trying to make sense of what I had just experienced. It occurred to me that she was a ghost. I quickly packed my things, checked out and I was gone!
